We Discover Bibles and How to Read Them

Welcome to the Bible Bloodhound!  We’re all about finding the best Bibles and how to read the Bible and use it for your life.  Allow me to introduce ourselves.  I’m Tim (the guy who does all the writing).  I’ve spent the last almost 40 years reading the Bible.  I’ve had the pleasure of graduate level study in the Bible.  I’ve also got around 8,000 books in my personal library about the Bible.  I’ve led numerous Bible studies, preached and taught the Bible for many years as a pastor.

Then, there’s my sidekick Bob (the bloodhound who does all the barking).  I might be the brains, but Bob is clearly the nose of the operation.  Together, we’re here to serve you in how to read and discover the Bible.  You’ll notice the menu at the top of the page.  That’s where you’ll find what you’re looking for.  Allow Bob and I to quickly mention the menu tabs so you can get the most out of this site.

Bibles & Reviews

There are more versions of the Bible on the market today than you can shake a stick at, or, in Bob’s case, play fetch with.  It can be pretty intimidating trying to discern what kind of Bible to buy.  No worries.  We’ve got you covered.  We deal with the different Bibles with Bob’s no nonsense “5 Bark Bible Review System” that will help you find just the right Bible for yourself, friend, or special someone.

Bible Apps & Reviews

Reading the Bible as an application on your computer, tablet, android smartphone, or iPhone has never been easier.  Bob has his own “5 Bark Bible App Review System” for all the most popular apps available.

Books of the Bible

The Bible is really a compilation of 66 books.  We track down what they are, the main message of each, with Bob’s nose sniffing out the best tips for reading them.

Bible Study Methods

Reading the Bible is rewarding, and we’ll take you on a journey of our favorite ways of digging into it.  Make sure and answer Bob’s “5 Bark Bible Guide Review” for finding the best study guide and method for you.

Who Wrote the Bible?

It’s not a trick question.  But it does have an involved answer.  We’ll dig together into some interesting history about how we got this amazing compilation of books that is the Bible.

Daily Bible Readings

I’ve read through the entire Bible hundreds, yes, hundreds of times.  I’ve used every reading plan known to man and dog.  Which makes me confident we can find a plan just right for you.  There are plenty of Bible reading plans available.  We’ll link you to my daily blog on the Bible, as well as connect you to other plans.  Make sure and answer out Bob’s “5 Bark Questions” for determining the right plan for you.  Bob knows that if you don’t plan to read, well, you’ll just sleep.

The next tabs are on 5 specific topics in the Bible.  Bob insisted on tracking these down for you so that you’ve got yet another way of reading and finding things important to you in the Bible.  They are:

Faith, Hope, Love, Encouragement, and Forgiveness

Finally, we have a page that recognizes that not everyone reads and uses the Bible responsibly.  It will be helpful for you to know that we seek to handle the Bible with the kind of care and sensitivity to others which it deserves.  The page is:

Spiritual Abuse and the Bible

We’ll keep adding great content to these pages as Bob’s nose discovers more and more.

Well, there you have it.  One of the great beauties of reading the Bible is that you can read the same thing over and over and still gain something fresh for your life each time.  Speaking of fresh, it’s time to feed Bob.  We’ll see you on the trail of discovering great things about the God within the Bible.
